Please be patient, they have a lot of detail. (Page 5 of 6)

At Lytton, the railway tracks moved from the following the Fraser River to now following the Thompson River.

You can now easily see both railway lines either side of the river.

The area we are now in is on the "Dry Belt" region of British Columbia,
Grasslands composed of bunchgrass and sagebrush with pockets of Douglas fir, Ponderosa pine and spruce are spotted around.
Coming up on milepost 74 in the second railway subdivision on our way to Kamloops. Between Vancouver and Kamloops we traverse two subdivisions, each being about 200 km long. So we are now about 74 miles from Kamloops.
We are now approaching Spencers Bridge where the TransCanada Highway switches to the other side of the river and we stay on ours.
A small wye with some old Canadian National boxcars parked in it. It didn't look like they'd been used for some time.
We are now 8 hours out of Vancouver.
